Two acclaimed ensembles share sublime baroque music in Suffolk-Norfolk collaboration

The hugely popular Suffolk-based upper-voice ensemble Seraphim is partnering with its neighbour over the border, internationally respected period instrument group Norwich Baroque, to help celebrate the orchestra’s tenth anniversary. Their music will bridge the two counties with a concert in each. Historic churches in Attleborough (Norfolk) and Framlingham (Suffolk) will provide the setting for the much-loved Stabat Mater (Pergolesi) and a beautiful Venetian Miserere in D (Hasse) as well as music for strings by Vivaldi and some sublime early a cappella vocal music.

Seraphim and its conductor Vetta Wise performed Adolf Hasse’s glorious Miserere in Venice last year to standing ovations and is delighted to have the opportunity to sing it again with the exciting and dynamic players of Norwich Baroque. Two international singers, Venice-based American, Liesl Odenweller, and our own acclaimed Suffolk-born Diana Moore, will join the ensembles, adding more glamour to the occasion. Diana will come fresh from her performances in New York's Carnegie Hall and the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, California. Liesl is co-founder of the prestigious Venetia Antiqua and has upcoming concerts and recitals in Venice, Verona, Rome, Pennsylvania and New York.
