A return for Reading Symphony Orchestra’s hugely popular (short) children’s concert, which this year features Dukas’s Sorcerer’s Apprentice. This was made famous in the Walt Disney film Fantasia, where Mickey Mouse plays the apprentice. Hear from our narrator David Barrell how the apprentice’s broomsticks go wildly out of control in this fabulous piece! Continuing the magical theme, the programme also includes music from John Williams's film score for Harry Potter.
