Tessitoura present an open air performance of one of Rossini’s most beloved operas - La Cenerentola. It's Cinderella…but not as you know it.
Set in modern day England, this sparkling comedy follows the story of Angelina, a harassed PA stuck in her step-father’s business, a Prince in the most royal of reality shows, and a litany of other colourful characters as we find out if true love can still triumph in the 21st Century.
Be taken on a whirlwind journey in this retelling of Cinderella, a story known by almost all, which is brought to life by the dazzling cast of Tessitoura and accompanied by one of Rossini's most exquisite and complex scores.
The many wonderful melodies will be sung in English by both experienced performers and young singers who are accompanied by a spectacular ensemble of chamber musicians.
Guests are invited to picnic beforehand within Colston’s School exclusive grounds in what promises to be a very special evening. This event will raise funds for Julian House, a charity which runs a number of homelessness prevention and addiction recovery projects in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
Tickets are on sale now so whether you love opera or have never been to one, make sure you catch this.
