A thrilling prospect for orchestra and audience, András Schiff displays his virtuosity as both pianist and conductor, leading the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra in Beethoven’s majestic ‘Emperor’ Concerto, stamped with maturity and inventive vigour. Joined by the celebrated Christ Church Cathedral Choir, Schiff steps onto the podium for Haydn’s profoundly moving 'Harmoniemesse’, rich in orchestration and heavenly vocal lines.
