An Evening with Sir Thomas Allen

One of the greatest baritones of his generation appears for one night only in the beautifully surroundings of the covered Green Theatre at West Green House as part of the West Green House Opera Season. In an evening which blends song and conversation, Sir Tom will share thoughts and insights into his outstanding operatic career, in conversation with opera director William Relton. He will perform, with piano accompaniment, as well as introducing, and performing with, the emerging artist Rowan Pierce, discovered by Sir Tom and now being coached by him as she embarks on her operatic career. This concert offers a very special opportunity for an intimate insight into the life and work of one of opera's most acclaimed and most charming performers. Ticket holders are welcome to picnic in the award winning gardens at West Green House, described by opera critic Michael White as 'my favourite of the country house opera venues', from 5pm on the evening and again during the 45 minute interval. The Lakefield Bar will be open for champagne and cocktails throughout.
