American Pianists Association Fellow Sean Chen returns for our tribute to one of the most influential of all classical composers, performing Beethoven’s freewheeling and optimistic Choral Fantasy for piano, orchestra and chorus. Guest Conductor Ryan McAdams leads this exciting program that also includes the March with chorus, from The Ruins of Athens as well as the Symphony No 7, one of Beethoven’s most stirring works—and one which the composer is said to have considered one of his best pieces.

Free pre-concert lecture by conductor Ryan McAdams at 6pm. Generously underwritten by Ann Neuberger Aceves. Sean Chen's appearance made possible by The DeHaan National Orchestra Program for The American Pianists Association Fellow Presentation and The Regan/Doniger Fund. The Symphony Chorus is directed by Dr Linda Raney.
