Mozart - Purity and Wonder | Sold Out

The Torbay Singers are delighted to return to Totnes with two of Mozart's best-loved choral works, accompanied by their chamber orchestra. Mozart left the C minor Mass unfinished; but it is still a major work, full of gorgeous arias and grand choruses. Unfinished perhaps - but undeniably 'great'. The Solemn Vespers (Vesperae solennes de confessore) are far from solemn in mood, embracing a wide range of styles and emotions including the sublime Laudate Dominum. Though often heard on its own, this radiant soprano aria sparkles like a jewel in the rich setting of the Vespers.
