Following the relocation of its director, Ben Horden, to a post at Oundle School, Musici makes its first appearance in its new home to herald the festive season. The choir, previously based in York, performs a programme of music for Christmas, including Britten’s well-loved and celebrated Ceremony of Carols, as well as Poulenc’s Motets for the Season of Christmas. Also on the programme is seasonal music by Howells, Warlock and John Gardner as well as some modern arrangements of favourite carols. In the candlelit setting of Oundle School Chapel, the evening is sure to capture the magic and beauty of Christmas.
