The programme features a moving and sensitive work written by Chris Williams, the Tsunami Requiem. Taking its theme from the Asian tsunami which devastated the region of Tamil Nadu on Boxing Day 2004, the music is dynamic, calm, stirring and haunting, beautifully portraying a wide range of emotions that will grip singers and audience alike. A performance at the Royal Festival Hall in 2008 received a standing ovation!

As well as this unmissable piece of music, the choir will perform Bob Chilcott’s beautiful Jubilate and three pieces by John Rutter: the Te Deum, the Requiem and, last but not least, one of his most vibrant and popular works, the Gloria.
