  1. Symphony No 1 in B flat, 'Spring' Op 38 - Robert Schumann
  2. Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No 2 in F minor Op 21 - Fryderyk Chopin

Ivo Pogorelich’s breathtaking presence in the world of classical music has spanned over forty years, while his iconic artistry and compelling performances continue to entice audiences worldwide ever since his sensation at the 1980 Chopin Competition. He joins the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra for Chopin’s Piano Concerto No 2 – an astonishing and colourful work from the composer’s youth. Concluding the Orchestra’s Schumann Series, Marios Papadopoulos conducts Schumann’s Symphony No 1. Inspired by the burgeoning spring of 1841 and with encouragement from his wife Clara, Schumann’s oeuvre advanced spectacularly into the symphonic realm.
