Sensational young pianist and recipient of the Grand Prix at the 2011 International Tchaikovsky Competition, Daniil Trifonov brings his Rachmaninov Piano Concerto Cycle to Leicester, showcasing Rachmaninov's final piano concerto and the dazzling pyrotechnics of Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini. Alongside, Mussorgsky's best-known work, Pictures At An Exhibition: a musical walk-round a gallery featuring paintings of gnomes, witches, medieval castles and the final roof-raising Great Gate of Kiev.
