Diane Rees studied at the Royal Academy of Music where she won competitions for both opera and oratorio. She also gained her LRAM and ARCM diplomas in teaching and performing. Diane’s career has focussed around Church music and the concert platform rather than the operatic stage and this has led to performances in many of our finest churches including Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s and Guildford Cathedrals, the Collegiate Church of St Mary’s Warwick and St George’s Chapel Windsor, and under the batons of conductors that include Sir Simon Rattle, Vilem Tausky, Barry Rose and Christopher Robinson. She has performed on national TV, broadcast on local and national radio and performed in a number of European countries.

In 2011 she performed as solo with organ accompaniment John Tavener’s 'Song for Athene' (a work normally in 8 parts). Sir John was present at the performance and said that he was "very moved" by it. Indeed the dedication in his next work "They are all gone into the world of light" states that the music came to him after attending the occasion at which Diane was singing.

Diane is delighted to be accompanied by John Wyatt.
