Born in Montenegro, the young guitarist Miloš Karadaglic has rocketed to the status of the world’s leading classical guitarist since signing to Deutsche Grammophon in 2011, playing venues from the Royal Albert Hall to the iTunes Festival and wowing audiences with his ability to move them. Making his debut at Snape, Milos? illustrates the breadth of the guitar’s heritage, from the Baroque to Bossa Nova. Centred around Bach’s stunning Chaconne and Argentinian composer Alberto Ginastera’s folk-inspired Sonata, his programme also takes in music by the great guitarist-composer Manuel da Falla, whose twin passions were Bach and Latin American traditional music, Fernando Sor’s Variations on a Theme by Mozart and popular Latin American songs including The Girl from Ipanema, Besame mucho and Mas que nada.
