Martin Baker is Master of the Music at Westminster Cathedral where he is responsible for directing the world-renowned choir and is fast becoming one of the most sought-after organ recitalists of our time. His programme includes variations on God Save the King by Samuel Wesley, whose son gave the opening recital at The Town Hall in 1864. The concert includes Guilmant's powerful First Sonata and concludes with one of Martin's legendary improvisations.
