Two notebooks exist belonging to Anna Magdalena Bach - in her and her husband's hand. They contain short arias, songs, keyboard pieces and large-scale suites. They were probably assembled as a resource for Anna Magdalena to teach and perform from and certainly the contents offer music 'for all eventualities'. Many compositions are by JS Bach but there are also examples by contemporaries.

Kate and Steven have performed this repertoire widely - on BBC Radio 3 , at St John's Smith Square and many other venues. Later this year, they will be performing at the Tilford Bach and London Bach Festivals. This concert is a wonderful chance to hear this beautiful repertoire in the intimate surroundings for which it was conceived.

Steven Devine will play the Adlam Burnett copy of a Ruckers harpsichord from 1638 and the large Lindholm and Soderstrohm clavichord.
