Carola Darwin combines a career as an opera and concert singer with research and writing about music. She trained at the Royal Northern College of Music, and went on to gain a PhD from the University of Sheffield. She is now an Academic Professor at the Royal College of Music, where she teaches Music History.

Nicholas Baumgartner is a lawyer and works in the financial services industry. Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from Oberlin Conservatory of Music and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Vanderbilt University. Nicholas has published articles in BACH, the Journal of the Riemenschneider Bach Institute and in the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment and Technology Law.
