  1. Musikalisches Opfer, 'Musical Offering' BWV 1079 - Johann Sebastian Bach

The Silbermann Ensemble was founded by Tom Wilkinson in 2013 to perform music of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries on period instruments. It is made up of some of the finest young musicians resident in Scotland.

The ensemble takes its name from the instrument maker Gottfried Silbermann (1683-1753). Silbermann's instruments were highly regarded in the mid-eighteenth century, as the baroque style gave way to the classical. JS Bach is said to have admired Silbermann's pianos.

A soup lunch is served at 1pm and is included in the ticket price.

Access to the venue is via the car park behind the church, which is available for concert patrons.
