Amy graduated from the RNCM with a Master of Music (Solo Performance), having studied with Levon Chilingirian OBE. Since then she has lived and worked in Bushey at The Purcell School for Young Musicians, whilst playing regularly with several high profile orchestras. As a Britten-Pears Young Artist, Amy has taken part in many projects including a recording of Peter Grimes released commercially and as a mentoring scheme for young musicians. Whilst a student at the RNCM, Amy was afforded the opportunity of studying with, and performing alongside, some of the finest soloists and musicians, both from this country and worldwide. Amy also studied at the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) under the instruction of Alice Waten and Paul Wright, similarly to her studies at the RNCM Amy had the chance to study with some world-class performers and teachers. Since leaving the Academy, Amy has worked professionally with the Victorian Opera Company Orchestra: as Principal 2nd Violin in their 2010 series of William Walton’s The Bear and Jaques Ibert’s Angelique; and in their 2009 season of Mozart’s Don Giovanni. Amy has also participated extensively in the Australian Youth Orchestra’s programs since 2004 performing in some of the world’s finest concert venues and festivals, including the BBC Proms. She was also selected for the Australian Youth Orchestra’s Orchestral Career Development Programme in collaboration with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra in 2006 and 2008. Amy has always enjoyed a fruitful and rewarding teaching practice alongside her studies and orchestral engagements. She is passionate about inspiring young musicians to strive for their very best.
