Come and hear a lovely concert on a Sunday afternoon! Helix Ensemble is a chamber orchestra that is based in the East Midlands, but we are visiting Kendal in May to remember Anice Paterson who co-founded the group in 1992. The first concert included Dumbarton Oaks so we are celebrating again with this masterpiece for chamber group by Stravinsky. We start with Purcell's well-known Chaconne, followed by Dvorák's beautiful Romance for Violin, played by David Greed, leader of the Opera North orchestra who is also our Musical Director for the concert. Mozart's lively and tuneful Symphony No 40 concludes the concert.

There will be a retiring collection for two charities: Macmillan Cancer Support and St John's Hospice, Lancaster.
