Beethoven by the Sea | Royal Philharmonic Orchestra

Join the world-famous Royal Philharmonic Orchestra for an evening of breath-taking works from Beethoven. Led by the internationally acclaimed and Sussex based conductor Brian Wright, the Orchestra will perform some of Beethoven’s best-loved pieces in this exciting summer concert

Performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No 5, ‘Emperor’, will be the winner of the 2015 Hastings International Piano Competition. With a prestigious prize and recognised internationally as producing an incredibly high calibre of musicians, the competition has launched the careers of many young pianists and audiences will be able to hear a star of the future at this concert.

Celebrating the compositional genius of Beethoven, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will perform some of the composer’s greatest works. As well as his Piano Concerto No 5, ‘Emperor’, audiences will be able to hear the intensely dramatic Leonore Overture No 3, the Coriolan Overture, and the instantly recognisable and magnificent Symphony No 5.
