The London Bach Society 18-30 Bach Club

The LBS Bach Club follows in the footsteps of Bach's Leipzig Collegium Musicum concerts (students musical society) at Leipzig in the 1730s. These were a hub for the talented musicians of the day and a 'cool' place to be for the townsfolk. The Club is our own 21st century version, encouraging the performance of the whole range of Bach's repertoire and works by his contemporaries, plus a commission or two from time to time... all presented in an informal way and encouraging the audiences of the future.

The concert gathers together outstanding musicians from the London Music Colleges to play music they love.

The theme of the concert reflects Bach's years at Leipzig, a city which is celebrating its 1000th anniversary this year and inspiring the programmes we are presenting throughout 2015, now and at our 25th anniversary autumn Bachfest. Do come and support. This will be much appreciated by the singers and players taking part for whom the London Bach Society is creating this opportunity. It is also a time when you can catch up with old friends and make new ones for drinks and chatter after the music. We look forward to welcoming you.
