Carols by Candlelight | City of Bath Bach Choir

In December 1947 the City of Bath Bach Choir gave its first performance of Carols by Candlelight in the Pump Rooms at which the Choir displayed its versatility and musicianship in introducing new and interesting carols as well as offering old favourites and carols for audience participation. These concerts have continued ever since and are now a well-loved feature of Bath’s Christmas celebrations. For many, it’s the official start of Christmas. The trees are decorated, the candles lit, the wine is mulling and, for three nights, City of Bath Bach Choir will sing an enchanting programme of Christmas music and carols; 17/18/19 December. Expect lively audience participation, brilliant solo instrumentalists from Wells Cathedral School, local children’s choirs and the warm, fun feeling that Christmas has arrived.
