Project Instrumental brings thrilling performances to unbounded audiences. A new breed of chamber orchestra, playing conducted and unconducted, Project Instrumental aims to bring exceptional performances of contemporary and classical music to broadening audiences, creating not just concerts, but experiences. It aims to break down unhelpful preconceptions with a straightforward, relatable approach, taking the music out of the usual packaging, offering non-prohibitive ticket prices and exploring a diverse and imaginative repertoire.
A not-for-profit organisation founded in 2013, Project Instrumental is a scalable collection of some of the finest professional young musicians in the country. In 2014, Project Instrumental became orchestra-in-residence at creative hub, Lime Wharf, in East London.
