To open the 2014 William Alwyn Festival all are invited to an Evensong that includes rare performances of twentieth century British choral music. Amongst these is the premiere (an Alwyn Festival Commission) of a new anthem by Patric Standford who sadly passsed away earlier this year. Also a new arrangement for organ solo by John Gibbons of Alwyn's stirring march from the documentrary film Desert Victory.
