John Ireland once remarked that two hours spent with Elgar was 'the finest lesson I ever had'. Here we present the music that made him famous along with a few exquisite miniatures by Elgar.

Recently described by The Sunday Telegraph as having both "warm musicality" and "virtuosity", and by Gramophone magazine as "passionately committed advocates", the Steinberg Duo have a growing list of CD releases garnering praise and they have performed in Canada, Spain, Germany and throughout the UK. Nicholas and Louisa are passionate about presenting the violin and piano repertoire as an equal partnership. Each recital in the 1901 Arts Club series revolves around a theme, giving a context through which to listen to repertoire both familiar and new.

The Club's exclusive bar and lounge are open for the enjoyment of ticketholders an hour before the performance. The performers also invite you to join them there after the performance.
