Ben Johnson returns to Liverpool with a programme of songs filled with the evergreen landscapes of Victorian England. Winner of the Dame Joan Sutherland Audience Prize at the 2013 Cardiff Singer of the World he will draw on reflections of India through Four Indian Love Lyrics alongside one of Vaughan Williams most famous songs, Linden Lea, based on the folk tradition Vaughan Williams found in Dorset, and many other favourites suffused with the wistfulness and evocative nature of early 20th century English music.
