Voces8 is regarded as one of the most exciting and versatile vocal groups in the world. They have toured extensively throughout the world and have appeared on TV, Radio3 and Classic FM.

According to Gramophone Magazine Voces8 bring a new meaning to the word'ensemble' as they will demonstarte in the varied musical programme extending from the Renaissance and Baroque through to arrangements of contemporary songs.

The 8-part group includes Crowborough native Chris Wardle who attended Herne School and Beacon School and began his singing career in All Saints Choir in the town.

Voces8 began as a professional a cappella group in 2007, and recently had chart success with their album ‘Eventide’ which spent 3 weeks at number 1 in the UK Classical Chart. The group performs in a variety of genres, from classical to jazz and pop arrangements, and all the styles will feature in the Crowborough performance.

Voces8 performs over 100 concerts each year in the UK and beyond, and is regularly heard on Classic FM and BBC Radio. The group also runs a busy education programme which reaches over 25,000 singers of all ages each year.

Chris Wardle said: “I have travelled around the world with Voces8 in the last seven years, but coming home to Crowborough will be a really special concert for me. The summer season will see us record our second album for the Decca Classics label, run our annual summer school in Dorset, and perform in Europe and Asia, but this will be a highlight International Chart-Topping Ensemble to perform in Crowborough – with a local twist.
