Helix Ensemble presents the final concert in the Belper Music Festival 2014. The main work in the programme is the Mozart Piano Concerto in G major K453, a lovely sunny piece played by International Award Winner Jane Ford.

The other works may be less well known but are just as melodic. The Abel Symphony is light and bubbly, written in the classical style and originally attributed to Mozart. The Suite for Strings by Neilsen is melodic and very attractive, and the Martinu Nonet with its interesting Czech rhythms brings a vibrant colour to the programme. Sample the music on Youtube!

Helix Ensemble is joined by Jane Ford for the beautiful piano concerto in G major. Jane is based in Derbyshire but has performed throughout Britain and abroad as well as on BBC Radio 3. Described by the 'Times' as 'gifted', and by 'Music and Vision' magazine as 'spellbinding', Jane is a pianist of both passion and sensitivity.

St Peter's Church is a very welcoming venue and refreshments will be available at the interval. We look forward to seeing you!
