Join us at dusk on a midsummer evening for a candlelit concert of buried musical treasures from Venice. It is 1638, and as La Serenissima celebrates the birth of the future Sun King, Louis XIV, Giovanni Rovetta - soon to follow Monteverdi at St Mark's - has composed a Vespers sequence to mark the occasion. The music of a truly golden age: it's eactly as gorgeous as you'd expect.
