The Delphians present a final Christmas fling on Twelfth Night with music to mark the end of the Festive Season.
The Delphian Singers (www.Delphiansingers.co.uk) are a dynamic new professional chamber choir from London, run jointly by Jessi Pywell and Toby Young. After making a big impact with a series of sell-out, critically acclaimed concerts in Cambridge and London last year, the Delphian Singers have been invited to perform upcoming concerts at St John Smith Square, St Martin-in-the Fields, and King’s College Chapel in Cambridge. Other future plans include a UK-wide tour of Rachmaninov’ s All-night Vigil by candlelight in venues such St Paul’s, Gloucester, Liverpool and Leeds cathedrals (supported by the Arts Council and Vocal Futures trust) as well as the launch of their debut disc, recorded early next year with Delphian Records, and accompanied by the organist David Briggs.
Opened in mid-September 2012, the St. James Theatre is the first newly built theatre in Central London for thirty years. It is built on the site of the former Westminster Theatre, in the heart of Victoria. With a contemporary auditorium seating 312 and a 100-seat studio, the St. James Theatre offers high quality theatre of great variety, embracing drama and comedy, new works and classic revivals, jazz, cabaret and classical music. It is a warm, intimate space with excellent acoustics ideal for live music. The St. James Theatre also houses a brasserie and lobby bar.
This concert forms part of the Brandenburg Choral Festival 2013
