  1. String Quartet No 16 in E flat K428 - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
  2. String Quartet No 4 - Sir Michael Tippett
  3. String Quartet No 3 in E flat minor Op 30 - Pyotr Tchaikovsky

Rapidly emerging with its own exciting and original voice, the Heath Quartet has already won first prize in the Tromp International Competition and second prize in the Haydn International Competition. Mozart’s String Quartet in E flat is part of a set dedicated to Haydn.

Tippett’s fourth String Quartet explores the journey of a human life through an unbroken sequence of movements.

Tchaikovsky’s Quartet in E flat minor expresses grief and life-affirmation in memory of violinist Ferdinand Laub.

“a performance of unforced beauty and tremulous tension” The Times

Post-concert Q&A: A chance to ask members of the quartet about their programme and their lives as performers.
