  2. String Quartet No 12 in C minor, 'Quartettsatz' D703 - Franz Schubert
  3. String Quartet No 8 in C minor Op 110 - Dmitry Shostakovich

This fine quartet studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and won several prizes. The programme includes Dvorak's tuneful Op 61 and Shostakovich's moving tribute to the victims of war.
