  1. Flam - Orlando Gough

Flam is a brilliantly original piece of voice theatre; a 45-minute commentary in song that exploits the extraordinary vocal and acting skills of two virtuoso performers to present a comic, incisive and moving portrait of human interaction... over a simple cup of coffee. Melanie Pappenheim and Rebecca Askew are perfectly matched as the unexplained protagonists, beguiling audiences with the beauty of their vocal delivery as they shift deftly between comedy and darkness. The acapella score and the striking simplicity of the production provide the perfect foil for the complexity of Orlando Gough’s music and the emotions it reveals.

"Flam is not only a virtuosic, accessible, truly innovative piece of high quality music theatre, it is also irresistibly infectiously joyous."
Bill Banks Jones (director of Tete a Tete Opera Festival)

"Witty, touching and virtuosic, it’s a little gem."
The Sunday Telegraph
