A concert of partly improvised music, featuring two graphic scores by two of the most important and influential composers of the 20th century. Earle Brown's 'December 52' is a landmark piece in the history of graphic notation. Cornelius Cardew's 'Treatise' has been described as "Mount Everest" of visual musical scores and graphic notation. We will be performing one page of this revolutionary piece.

There will also be original pieces by Kerry Andrews, Deborah Edwards and Derek Foster, which use a combination of conventionally notated music and improvisation.

Plexus, a group of five improvisers, will perform three improvisations.

Instrumentation includes: clarinet, voilin, cello, percussion (featuring tablas), piano and voice.
