In 1757 a medal was struck to commemorate Hungary’s defeat by Frederick the Great of Prussia – a medal which became a token for a ‘foundling’ named Priscilla the following year. Inspired by her story, enjoy a concert of cello music by Brahms and Popper, along with Alfred Schnittke’s introspective second cello sonata. Cellist Carola Krebs and pianist Salih Can Gevrek perform.
