Young Artists' Platform: Tokens From Prussia and Hungary

Thursday December 7, 2017 at 13:00
The Foundling Museum, London
Free admission – no ticket required

Inspired by the Foundling Hospital tokens, this concert brings together music from Germany and Hungary

Free with museum admission

In 1757 a medal was struck to commemorate Hungary’s defeat by Frederick the Great of Prussia – a medal which became a token for a ‘foundling’ named Priscilla the following year. Inspired by her story, enjoy a concert of cello music by Brahms and Popper, along with Alfred Schnittke’s introspective second cello sonata. Cellist Carola Krebs and pianist Salih Can Gevrek perform.
