The 30th Ribble Valley International Piano Week's opening concert features two friends in thrilling musical dialogue. Tasmin Little is ranked among the world’s finest violinists and the full range of her stylish musicianship and artistry will be on show in today’s performance with esteemed pianist and festival director, Martin Roscoe.

Their concert features three works from the height of the Romantic period, opening with Brahms’ youthfully exuberant Sonatensatz and culminating with one of the greatest of all violin sonatas, by the Belgian César Franck, full of soaring lyricsm and virtuosity.
