The highly acclaimed Plymouth born classical guitarist Alison Smith has been described as one of the most exciting and lyrical guitarists to emerge in recent years. She delights audiences with her fluid technique and expressive playing, performing nationwide and abroad at concert halls, festivals and broadcasts live on BBC Radio. She has played eight times at the International Guitar Festival of Great Britain where she received great critical acclaim. Her CD Albums titled Recuerdos and Incandescent have been highly successful. She has recently been taken on by Willowhayne recors to become one of their artists. Alison's CDs are distributed both physically and digitally worldwide. There are exciting plans for a new recording in the future. Alison studied at Trinity College of Music London, graduated with honours and was awarded a college scholarship for post graduate study. She gained a distinction in the Post - Graduate Performance Certificate in 1997. From 2002 to April 2008 Alison was a guitar tutor and chamber music coach in both the Senior and Junior Departmnets of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
