Michal Rogalski returns to the festival for the first time since 2014, when he performed that year’s Festival Commission, Judith Bingham’s oboe concerto, The Angel of Mons, with Red Note at Lydd. Michal is one of the finest oboists, heralding from Poland, having played across the world, especially in America. It is wonderful to welcome him back to the Marsh, with an extraordinary concert for oboe and guitar, of music influenced by the Latin American groove, including works by Villa-Lobos and Piazolla. We’re sure that this concert will bring a sunny, happy conclusion to JAM on the Marsh 2017!
