The symphonic Glasgow Wind Band perform their annual mix of both new and popular established symphonic wind band works. At the centre of this years offering is the Scottish Premiere of the wind band transcription of Peter Graham's Metropolis 1927. This is Graham's musical response to the film of the same name, with noirish style and visions of brooding machine rooms, decadent nightclubs and gothic cathedrals. This work produces some of the biggest and best sounds of the symphonic wind band and should not be missed.
