British pianist, Phillip Leslie started playing piano at age seven with Veronica Jones in Cornwall. After excelling in the South-west of England he enrolled at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance (formerly Trinity College of Music). He began his studies with Alexander Ardakov and then Margaret Fingerhut. In 2016, Phillip continued his studies at Trinity as a scholar under the celebrated pianist and teacher, Philip Fowke.

In 2014 he performed, Carmina Burana with the Trinity Laban Chorus at Blackheath Halls and Rhapsody in Blue with Maidstone Wind symphony. He has also made appearances with the Trinity Laban Wind Orchestra. Phillip has given numerous concerts including performances at Pamoja Hall, Old Royal Naval Chapel, St Alfege, Carnglaze Caverns, St James's Piccadilly and Mandeville Place. He has taken part in many competitions and masterclasses including lessons with acclaimed pianists, Paul Komen, Pascal Roge, Ivan Klansky, Chiao-Ying Chang, Ashley Wass and Philip Martin. During his undergraduate he was taught organ by Ann-Elise Smoot and Harpsichord with Steven Devine. Phillip's repertoire includes the works of Rameau, Beethoven and Leighton.

Last year he performed in the Old Royal Naval Chapel for the Trinity Laban Concert Series and recently gave three performances of Peter Copley’s Piano Concerto, which is dedicated to his former teacher, Margaret. He has worked with conductors, Andrew Sherwood, Jonathan Crowhurst and Dominic Peckham. He performs with soprano, Rebekah Smith with whom he was a finalist in the Elisabeth Schumann Lieder Duo Competition. Earlier this year Phillip was interviewed on BBC Radio Cornwall hosted by Tiffany Truscott.

He currently teaches on the piano faculty at Blackheath Conservatoire. Recently he was a semi-finalist in the Jacques Samuels Intercollegiate Piano Competition. Future engagements include performances at St Brides Church, St George and the Martyr and Bach's D minor Keyboard Concerto in the Isle of Wight with Brighton Youth Orchestra String Ensemble.
