  1. Messiah HWV 56 - George Frideric Handel

Internationally acclaimed soloists, supported by a period instrument orchestra and a powerful chorus come together in Newark’s most famous historical landmark for a superb evening of music and culture. This will make a great start to the Christmas weekend

The love affair that British classical music audiences have with Handel’s great work, Messiah, is quite phenomenal. Since its Dublin premiere in 1742, it has been performed by choirs across the land every year since at least 1745. 274 years later, this Christmas the Magdalene Arts Foundation has brought together a collection of world renowned soloists, a period instrument orchestra and a powerful chorus to perform this in Newark’s most fantastic concert venue, St Mary Magdalene church.
