The Medical Music Society of London are delighted to welcome back the Aquinas Piano Trio - Ruth Rogers (violin), Katherine Jenkinson (cello) and Martin Cousin (piano). For this concert they are joined by Sarah-Jane Bradley (viola) and Nicola Sweeney (violin) in a programme of piano quartets by Mozart and Fauré, and the mighty piano quintet by Brahms.
The trio was launched in 2009 at the Royal Over-Seas League, and has quickly become one of Britain’s most sought-after ensembles. All three players are established solo artists in their own right and have vast experience of the chamber music repertoire. Between them, they have an outstanding array of awards and achievements and have performed at such prestigious venues as the Wigmore Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, South Bank Centre, Barbican Hall and Bridgewater Hall, Manchester. They are all major prizewinners from a number of important competitions, have performed with the country’s leading orchestras and played chamber music throughout the globe. Amongst a busy concert schedule, last season saw performances at King’s Lynn and Brighton Festivals and King’s Place, London and this season sees the trio’s debut at St John’s Smith Square, London.
