A spring concert and exhibition to celebrate Dover's heritage at the historic Maison Dieu, which includes two musical portraits of the town of Dover composed by Nigel Clarke: Pulp and Rags based on Dover’s paper industry and Dogger, Fisher, German Bight, Humber, Thames, Dover, Wight inspired by Dover’s maritime history.
Peter Sheppard Skaerved leads the thirteen string musicians of Longbow in a programme that will incude some of his Channel Firing programme, a commission for Dover Museum as part of 'Joined Up', a project bringing together artists and museums.
An exhibition accompanies the concert and can be viewed between 5pm and 8pm and in the concert interval. The works are by all fourteen artists who participated in 'Joined Up' and are inspired by the WW1 collections of ten Dover District Museums.
