  1. Gloria - Francis Poulenc
  2. Te Deum Op 103 - Antonín Dvorák
  3. Peer Gynt Suite No 1 Op 46 - Edvard Grieg

Both the Gloria and the Te Deum are joyous hymns of praise and celebration. The words of the Gloria go back to the earliest centuries of the Christian Church. They formed the songs that the angels sang announcing the birth of Christ.

The Gloria is vintage Poulenc: vivacious and charming, serious but never solemn, shifting mercurially from mood to mood, constantly springing surprises on us in sideways shifts of key and quirks of rhythm.
