Four young ensembles of piano with strings will compete for the prestigious Parkhouse Award which is given every other year. Chosen from an international entry during two days of auditions the week before, each group will perform repertoire of their choice for 30 minutes providing an exciting and varied feast of chamber music-making. The jury comprises John Gilhooly (Director, Wigmore Hall); Colin Lawson, (Principal Royal College of Music) Hamish Milne (pianist); Madeleine Mitchell (violinist); Moray Welsh (cellist) led by Chairman Chris de Souza (composer, broadcaster, opera producer and author). After their deliberation the winning ensemble will be announced from the platform. The prize is three concerts in major London concert halls during 2015/16.
