Sing joyfully

The Ionian Singers with their conductor Timothy Salter present a programme of music from the riches of the Renaissance and the twentieth century.

The concert opens with motets and anthems by Byrd and Gibbons, commencing with Byrd’s Sing joyfully

Moving through the twentieth century The Ionian Singers will perform music by Stanford (God and the Universe), Elgar (O Wild West Wind), Howells, Finzi, Walton, Timothy Salter’s The White and the Walk of the Morning and Philip Cashian’s Music for an Empty Sky. Arrangements by Salter of popular English folk songs complete the programme.
