In a change to the originally advertised programme, Chinese pianist Di Xiao will perform a set of French solo piano music by two of the composers featured in the original programme, Erik Satie and Francis Poulenc, as well as three pieces by Olivier Messiaen. Poulenc's first two Novelettes, written ten years after his initial success with Les Six will be followed by Satie's first composition Gymnopedies No 1, the Gnossienne No 1 and one of his cabaret pieces, Je te Veux. Three of Messiaen's preludes, written while he was a student at the Paris Conservatoire, complete the concert.

After Hours is Nottingham Classics' series of informal late nighters. With eclectic mixes of music, from J S Bach to Steve Reich, they're a great place to go exploring music that's off the beaten track. Each concert is introduced from the stage, you can take your drinks in and there are no 'rules' so you can soak up the sounds without worrying about when to applaud!

* start times may vary according to the finishing time of the earlier concert. The bar will be open from 9.30pm if you would like to arrive early.
