  1. The Hebrides Overture Op 26 - Felix Mendelssohn
  2. Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No 24 in C minor K491 - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
  3. Symphony No 8 in G Op 88 - Antonín Dvorák

The last of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's concerts in our Symphonies By The Sea season begins with Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture, a wonderful evocation of the grandeur of Fingal’s Cave. Janina Fialkowska is the soloist in Mozart’s lyrical Piano Concerto No 24 with its haunting slow movement. The concert ends with a performance of Dvorák's Symphony No 8, one of the composer’s most cheerful and optimistic works.
