  1. Così fan tutte - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Marios Papadopoulos, award-winning Music Director and Founder of Oxford Philomusica, conducts a stellar cast in this launch of Oxford Philomusica Opera. Metta Theatre’s Director and Designer duo Poppy Burton-Morgan and William Reynolds bring this classic of romance and redemption vibrantly to life in a stunning new production.

Mozart’s comic masterpiece is transposed to war time Britain. Sisters Fiordiligi and Dorabella are doing their bit as landgirls, but the cynical Don Alfonso forces their soldier fiancés, Ferrando and Guglielmo to test their fidelity. Appearing in disguise as American GIs the soldiers woo the sisters, with comedy and confusion ensuing against a backdrop of bombings and betrayals.

Sung in Italian with English surtitles.
