Marking the seventieth anniversary of his birth in December 1940, the Royal Academy of Music Manson Ensemble and Franck Ollu present a concert of music by Frank Zappa, undoubtedly one of the most important and influential figures in twentieth–century American musical life, as part of the Roundhouse Zappa Festival. The concert will feature music from the classic albums ‘The Yellow Shark’ and ‘The Perfect Stranger’ alongside new transcriptions for the Academy Manson Ensemble by Head of Composition Philip Cashian and current composition students.
